Welcome to GW Manager. 

One of our customers recently contacted us. He wants to change some users' primary email address to a new one. 

So in this video, we will show you how you can do that in bulk with GW Manager. 

First, you will go to Extensions, you should see GW Manager.

Click on launch, to launch GW Manager in the sidebar. 

Once the add-on is launched, you should first insert the sheet. 

I've already inserted an update users sheet, but if you haven't, you can either go to manage Utilities, and click on insert all sheets, which will insert all the sheets at once, or you can go to manage users, and here go to update users, and you should see an insert sheet option.

I'm not seeing that option because I already have it. 

Now you need to provide a primary email address because it has an asterisk, so I will put primary email address here. 

Now I want these users' primary email to be changed. So I will go to this column which says *new primary email*, and I put the new email address here.

I'm just appending “- renamed” to that person's email and doing the same for all of them. 

I can leave the rest of the information and it'll be kept as it is, and then I can select run update users function, and click on execute button. 

At this time, GW Manager will start renaming these addresses one by one.

And within a few seconds it'll also tell us the status of the rename operation.

It's completed.. 

If I scroll on the right, I should see that user information is updated for all the users. 

Now I'll go back to my admin console and search for one specific user, and I see that this user has been updated with the new email. 

Google by default adds an old email address for this user as an alias. So when I click on user information, we should also see the old email address. 

If you need to delete these aliases for all the users or for the required users, you can go to our tool and manage user aliases and you can delete user aliases.

This is how you can easily rename multiple users' primary email address in Google Workspace with GW Manager.
