Welcome to GW Manager. In this video, I will show you how you can update organizational units in Google Workspace with GW Manager.

For that, I will come to my Google sheet, click on extensions. I should see the GW Manager here.

I will click on launch, which will launch the add-on in the sidebar.

Once the add-on is launched, I will need to first insert the sheet where I can provide update information for these organizational units. 

And for that, either I can click on managed utilities, run insert all sheets, which will let the add-on install all the sheets to perform any of these functions. 

For now, I will go back to manage org units and only insert update org units sheet. I will select the insert sheet, click on execute.

GW Manager will add a sheet that's called Update org units, where it is asking us to provide an organizational unit path. 

This is required as we can see the asterisk here with the information that we want to update, like its org unit name, description, or parent policy inheritance.

I've copied some information to save time, so I will paste it.

I have these four organizational units and I'm appending “is updated” to their name. I want the description and parent policy to be kept as it is.

Once I have provided all the required information, I will execute the function as shown in the screenshot below.

At this time, GW Manager will start changing the org unit names for the given organizational units, and it will provide us the status of the task in our google sheet.

It has updated the organizational units.

I will now go back to Google Workspace Admin console and do a quick reload, and I should see that finance, hr, marketing, and sales, they're updated. 

However, the description is kept as it was. 

So this is how you can quickly update multiple organizational units in Google Workspace with GW Manager.
